SUCTION  BLAST CABINET Suitable for Most applications.

The Suction Blast Cabinet System uses the venture principal, incorporating an air jet one half the inside diameter of the nozzle. This creates a negative pressure that sucks the media into the gun body from the hopper. The total acceleration of the media in the air stream is 8 to 16". A Suction Blast System can operate continuously without shutdowns to refill media and can be easily automated with multiple gun bodies. 
Siphon Blast: A term used to describe the type of abrasive delivery system used on an abrasive blasting cabinet. A siphon machine uses an injection gun to create suction on the abrasive supply hose. The abrasive hose then conveys the abrasive, using suction or siphon, to the gun where the compressed air hose is used to accelerate the abrasive. All siphon type machines include two hoses on the abrasive blast gun assembly. Siphon machines are the most common type of blast machine. All siphon gun assemblies include an air jet used to create the siphoning effect and also establish the amount of compressed air required to operate the machine. 


PRESSURE BLAST CABINET  Typically used in High Production. Large volume output applications.

Pressure Blast Cabinet Systems utilize a pressure pot that when pressurized with media in the pot, accelerates the media from the pot through the blast hose to the nozzle. The total media acceleration distance of 6' and greater generates a velocity of 250 fps. By applying basic physics, (impact energy = 1/2 mass X velocity squared) it becomes apparent that pressure systems are highly efficient. When the mass of the media is doubled, the kinetic energy is doubled. When the velocity of the media is doubled, the kinetic energy is quadrupled. 

Direct Pressure: Direct Pressure Blast machines use a pressure vessel to pneumatically push the blast media through a single abrasive hose and out the blast nozzle. Direct Pressure machine are capable of operation with heavy abrasive, steel shot or steel grit, in addition to most other abrasive blast types and sizes.


The Deluxe Series Blast Cabinets are available in a vast variety of Blasting Cabinet sizes. All Blast Cabinets are Manufactured in Suction or Pressure Blast Cabinet Systems. Reclaimer's are offered from 300 CFM to 1200 CFM.Side support rails and turntables can be utilized to ease in part loading and increased work flow. Filter Cabinets are available for Dust control.

Advantages

•Greater media velocity. A pressure blast machine produces greater abrasive particle velocity than a suction blast machine which means faster cleaning of tough contaminants.

•Moves more media. More abrasive particles are propelled against the work surface per minute, for a given nozzle size. Again, this translates into greater productivity, particularly on difficult applications

•Greater stand-off distance. Because the abrasive particles are moving faster to begin with, you can increase the stand-off distance of the blast nozzle from the work surface, producing a larger blast pattern while still achieving velocities great enough to clean the work. Again, this translates into greater overall productivity than a suction blast machine.

•More productive. As a general rule of thumb, pressure abrasive blast machines are four times as productive as suction abrasive blast machines.

Production rates are determined by nozzle size, compressor output , working pressure, type and size of media, angle and distance of the nozzle from the blast surface. Pressure Blast Cabinets

Specially designed to increase blasting productivity pressure blast cabinets will be the answer to all your blasting needs for fast results tough jobs and for Abrasive blasting performance in hard to reach areas. AMS standard Pressure blast cabinets utilize the one cubic foot pressure vessel that forces media through the blasting hose and tungsten carbide nozzle. After impact on the work piece abrasive (glass bead, aluminum oxide or other reclaimable light weight media) is transferred to the reclaimer that separates reusable media while dust is exhausted into the dust collector. AMS Blast cabinets are equipped with high efficiency reclaimer and dust collectors.
